About This Session
Underwriting is where every LIHTC investment begins. In this session, you'll learn how to evaluate a deal from the ground up—assessing the development team, analyzing the capital stack, stress-testing operating projections, and understanding the guarantees that protect investors when things don't go as planned.
We'll walk through the key questions underwriters ask: Does this team have the experience and financial capacity to deliver? Can the project support its debt? Are the rent and expense assumptions realistic? What due diligence reports matter most, and what should you look for in each?
Whether you're new to underwriting or looking to sharpen your analytical framework, this session will give you a clearer picture of how deals come together—and what separates a strong investment from a risky one.
Who Should Attend
